My Embryo at 6wks

I just passed the baby. It has been about 24hrs since the bleeding started. Now that the baby is out, the cramps have gone away and the bleeding has almost stopped.

The embryo looked like this one from pregnancy.com
http://www.pregnancy.org/pregnancy/fetaldevelopment1.php

I didn't want to just flush it away. Should I have saved it for the docter/midwife to see?

Well, I held it in the palm of my hand and took pictures of it before flushing it away. Don't look below, if you don't want to see it!!!!!!!

It's beautiful to see the miracle of life in any stage of development. Not many have the opportunity to know what their baby looks like at 6 1/2 weeks. What amazing perfection! You were given the blessing of the short time to nourish and care for your baby, and for reasons beyond our understanding it was necessary for the baby to go to be with God.

Debbie,
Thanks for sharing a photo of something so personal. It must have been hard to know that you were letting go when she left your hand. So many woman have had this experience alone and I think it's very generous that you've invited us to join you in your recovery by posting your baby's photo along with entries about how you are doing each day. I will keep reading.
