Nine Weeks and Three Blood Tests Later

Today I should be nine weeks.

The midwife office followed up with me today.

My last blood test was a week ago Monday. They told me the results on Wednesday that HCG and Progesterone was down. The nurse sounded very surprised that I wasn't spotting yet.

Today the nurse told me what my options are: 1. Wait and see if my body knows it's supposed to miscarry, 2. Surgical D&C, or 3. A pill to bring on contractions and help my body to miscarry.

I was surprised and asked, "So you are saying that right now you feel comfortable with doing a D&C?" She said yes, that they definitely don't see that this could be a viable pregnancy.

She wants me to at least come in for a blood test again. I told her I would rather just wait till my next appointment in three weeks on 12/23 when I'm 12 weeks and maybe they can do a sonogram and blood test then.

That's when she told me that my appointment had already been canceled! (but she can put me back down). That shows how much they think this is over!

They could be right, but I'm waiting on God. If I miscarry, I miscarry. Why should I worry about it now when I've had no spotting/bleeding? The nurse said it is possible to have miscarried and have not spotted. But it's not likely that I would never spot.

So I'm waiting for that to happen before I do anymore tests before my next appointment. The nurse said she will have the Midwife, Paula, call me.

This will be a great story if the baby is still okay!

Hello, I stumbled across your blog yesterday when i was doing research about raw food pregnancy. I hope you don't mind me posting on your blog.

I hope that the baby is okay, if thats Gods will.

A little about myself, i lost my first born in April. He was still born. Sense then i have been trying to become more healthy, and have been losing some weight following a 80% raw diet. If i'm blessed to have another child i want to try to eat a very health raw diet during pregnancy and after.

Hope all goes well,
~Tiffany

Tiffany,

So sorry to hear about your still born!
It's important to realize that you did not cause that to happen. These things just happen. Statistically, it's bound to happen to everyone sometime, if they have enough pregnancies.
Neither cooked or raw food would cause a miscarriage or still birth, nor would it cure it.
There are druggies that manage to have babies born.
So I hold on to the fact that I am healthier on a Raw diet and that can't hurt!

I'm curious as to where you get your vitamin b12? Do you use a supplement? I want to try to get all the nutrients i need from raw foods and some cooked grains like rice and quinoa. I want to make sure how to eat good and make sure i'm getting everything i need before thinking about having a baby. There isn't a lot of info out there about raw foodist pregnancy's.

Tiffany,

Are you a part of a meetup.com raw food potluck? I recommend finding one in your area. You can learn a lot from other people.

I don't take a B12 supplement. Spirulina (blue green algae), water kefir, Kombucha, fermented foods (sauerkraut), and nutritional yeast are reliable sources for B12. Somewhat controversial is whether sea vegetables and green leafy vegetables are also sources.

You can also sprout quinoa and wild rice and eat them raw. I eat whole oat grouts by grinding them into a powder in a coffee grinder and make raw oatmeal with raw almond milk.

There is a friend of mine who is going to get me more info about raw pregnancy...I'll keep you posted.

The only thing I found is www.thegardendiet.com
ebook

That's why I started this...to hopefully give hope to others like us.
