Read Labels

Always read labels.

The other day I was at Costco shopping for a party. Shredded cheddar cheese was on my list. It's so much cheaper at Costco than at Trader Joe's. But when I read the label, I realized that their cheddar cheese has yellow #something and another ingredient that's for anti-caking. Who would have thought that they needed to color their cheddar cheese to make it that orange/yellow color?

Trader Joe's cheese has on it's label that their cows are free from BGH (Bovine Growth Hormone) and they also have organic cheese (more expensive). So that's where I usually buy cheese for the kids.

Artificial flavors and colors are very bad for children's brains.

So I buy candy for them that is free of artificial colors and flavors.
